I've looked at this system on and off in previous years and it was always over 50% but I never tracked it. I'm tracking it this year and it has gone 5-0. It only works for the NY teams.
Out of the 10 weeks that have past so far this season there have been 5 Sundays where the Jets and Giants have both played. The system is this:
When both teams are playing on Sunday, if the NY team wins the 1:00 o'clock game, bet on the other NY team to lose the 4:00 o'clock game. If the NY team loses the 1:00 o'clock, bet on the other NY team to win the 4:00 o'clock game.
I haven't checked how the spread would have affected any of these games, but from reviewing the scores I don't think it would have mattered.
In fact playing the moneyline on the 4:00 o'clock team would have shown great results.
I know it's stupid but it's no worse than some of the ridiculous trends that I see posted on the board.
